The latest post from Robby. Please continue to pray.
Robby is ok right now. It has been a real emotional ride in a 24 hr. time period we can go from great times to horrible, scary times. Sometimes he wakes up and tries drinks and small bites, full of hugs and love, other times he wakes up way out of it cries alot, scared of people and things. Sometimes his breathing is so clear and steady others it full of junk, and very shallow. His birthday is Tues we think he wants to make his birthday. If you truly know Robby you know he does what he wants to do and will always set his own standard when it comes to medical care. We have to keep going up on his pain meds and his versed they are at unreal amounts but they have managed to keep good control of his pan and anxiety while still being able to wake up. A few days ago he hadn’t peed for 26 hrs we thought for sure his kidneys were totally shut down then he peed and has continued to pee several times a day since them. He has always liked to keep DR. Jeff guessing and that has co! ntinued. Thanks for checking in on us and sending prayers
The latest entry on Robby’s caringbridge site from his family. Please continue to pray for Robby’s comfort and their strength.
Reality started hitting Fri. night and got worse Sat. Fri. Robby never woke 1 time you couldn’t even stir him and Sat. he seemed to be deeper his O2 dropped and we added the oxygen back on by Sat. evening his breathing became labored with lots of rattling and 16 hrs of no pee. His Dr. was called in and the feeling was he wasn’t going to make the next 12 hrs. Tears flowed and acceptances settled in, most of the family was still here when he just woke up, peed, talked some gave hugs and kisses it truly was an unexpected joy but his vitals became stable and his breathing was much better. He also awoke this afternoon ate a small amount of cereal, asked to see his puppy and was awake a little over an hour still having good vitals and resting comfortable this evening you can see how much he gets weaker everyday. In some way he is out of immediately danger but in other ways he could stop breathing at any time but waking for a few is pure pleasure to us. He looks bett! er than he has in a few days but his breath can have many seconds between them that can be a little scary. Robby has never done things by the books and will always due what he wants when he wants. His prayers warriors are doing a great job he is very comfortable and giving us many snuggle times and times with smiles and great joy. Thank you for your support.
Another post from Robby’s Mom. Please pray for comfort for Robby. Strength for the family. His days are getting fewer and it is going to be so hard on the family. We were admitted to the hospital yesterday. Robby’s pain was so bad Wed. night he could not rest at all, he was shaking so hard, his eyes were rolling back in his head he received 5 boulus of atvian in 30 min. intervals and it still would only keep things in control for a short time. So we came here getting in the car was impossible for him and very painful so we have decided to stay here. They are telling us our tomorrows are running out but after a long rest last night he awoke this afternoon and ate a bowl cereal and has been awake some still very paranoid but not shaking so violently. Robby and Maddy got a puppy for Christmas! Robby has named her Rose she is a yorkiepoo she is almost 3 months old and weighs 2 lbs. She loves to run and play but the minute you put her on Robby’s bed she! climbs on his shoulder snuggles in an sleeps with him. Robby just adores her the hospital says she is aloud to come and visit him so she will be here tomorrow. I will try to get a picture up of them but the internet here is slow and I’m timing out so I will keep trying. Robby needs prayers to stay comfortable weather we have a few days or weeks our mission is to keep him comfortable and as happy as possible.
